zoom rules & Guidelines
By joining the Dance Commander Disco Zoom room, you agree to the following rules and guidelines. Those found violating our rules will be removed from the Zoom meeting for the remainder of the meeting or permanently banned from all DCD platforms including Discord.
- Because we regularly broadcast to Twitch, we must enforce Twitch’s “no nudity” rules, which includes no “underboob”, no simulated nudity, and no exposed buttcheeks. As an additional rule for Dance Commander Disco, we ask that there are no exposed nipples.
- No displaying of drugs and drug paraphernalia including, but not limited to: joints, pipes/bowls, bongs, dab rigs, or syringes.
- No unattended persons under the age of 18. We love seeing your kids, but please be in the room with them.
- Hate speech, threats, or harassment within chat, voice, or video will not be tolerated. The host and the moderators reserve the right to set speech standards.
- No sleeping on camera. If you appear to fall asleep, mods will turn off your camera and place you in the Waiting Room and/or remove you from the room. You will be able to rejoin.
- Please be responsible with your alcohol consumption. You will be given a warning or be removed if you begin to appear over-intoxicated or repeatedly call for others to drink alcohol with you. Please remember, we have no way of directly helping you if you get sick.
- There may be recording during Zoom sessions. Mods will announce before a Zoom session is recorded, if you want to opt-out, please turn off your camera.
- In the DCD, we do what we call spotlighting, which highlights your video for the whole DCD (and Twitch usually) to see. Those who DO NOT want to be spotlighted on the Zoom Wall, please click the NO feature in the lower left corner to OPT OUT of spotlighting!
DCD Harassment Policy
Dance Commander Disco will not tolerate harassment in any form. Unwelcome, repeated comments about someone’s appearance or sexuality is harassment, and you will be given one warning for such behavior.
Asking for other’s private information including their social media platforms, or how to contact them outside of the Zoom room will not be tolerated and is grounds for immediate action to remove you from the room permanently.
If you see someone breaking any rules or something that makes you feel unsafe or uncomfortable, we ask that you contact any one of our moderators, listed as “Host” or “Co-Host” in the Zoom participants list. We are here for you.
Zoom Update Instructions
- Open Zoom app – Should see the time and a grid of four boxes including ‘New Meeting’ and ‘Join’
- Click on your profile pic (could be the first letter of your ZoomID if you haven’t added a picture)
- Click ‘Check For Updates’
- Wait for update to download if available (will be a blue bar at bottom of new screen)
- When download is finished, click on ‘Update”
- Zoom Updater will run, when finished Zoom will reopen
- Join the Dance Commander Disco and BANCE!
